Book Reviews

One of my favorite books by one of my favorite authors.

One of my favorite pastimes is reading, so it goes without saying that one of my favorite aspects of my web publishing business is doing book reviews. In addition to writing the review on my website and sharing the book review with my Twitter followers, I have also begun writing reviews on Amazon.  Basically, I do my part to support the publishers and authors who are kind enough to support my reading addiction! Plus, I’m committed to making more people fall in love with books and reading – so spreading the word about a great book isn’t just duty, it’s a joy.

I actually do book reviews on each of the following websites, in addition to Self Help Daily:

• Get Cooking – My food blog.
• Hollywood Yesterday – Dedicated to the Golden Age of Hollywood as well as television.
• Out of Bounds – Mental Fitness, Brain Games, Relaxation, Stress Management…
• Cat Pause – Cat blog for cat lovers.
• Office Freaks – Office design, office politics, home offices, office supplies…
• Crazy Tea Chick – My oldest daughter’s tea review blog.

I’ve also recently begun a fun joint venture with my daughter, Emily (also known as the Crazy Tea Chick!). We have a book review website titled She’s Got the Book.  We’re currently actively looking for books to review on this particular website.  Emily solely reviews fiction (since she also works outside of the home, so she has to draw the proverbial line somewhere) but I will read and review fiction or non-fiction.  After all, the only thing I do outside of the home is garden and shop.
