Brewing Trouble

by joi on May 7, 2006

Last night I found myself falling into a trap that most of us have a problem stepping over.  I was “borrowing trouble” – you know, feeling anxious (and even sad) about something that hasn’t even happened.  I know, I know – that’s the game of the lame, and it wasn’t my finest hour.  But I crawled out of the trap fairly fast.

I happened to think of a line from a favorite poem:

“But big things in the brewing are small things in the brew.”

It made me feel a world better, so I grabbed one of my books of poetry and read the whole poem.  By the time I passed over the last word, I was me again.  The words of the poem are so powerful, I posted it on one of my other blogs earlier today.  Click the link below to read the powerful poem.  It might put a smile on your face and help you to jump rather than fall the next time you pass by a certain trap.
