How the World Uses Coconuts
I’ve always been coconuts for the taste of coconuts – coconut cake, Almond Joy and Mounds Candy Bars, coconut ice cream, coconut shrimp, coconut right out of the bag…. any way I can get my hands on coconuts is a welcome sight to me.
I’ve become a HUGE fan of coconut water, too. A few benefits I’ve noticed with coconut water:
- Caffeine Free – so it’s perfect for drinking late at night.
- Helps with Digestion – if you have digestive issues (or simply wouldn’t mind a little help in the area), coconut water could be just what you need.
- It’s a great way to get off of soft drinks. It’s a healthy switch and so much tastier.
Below is a great infographic telling about the uses for coconuts and how people around the world use this wonderful super food.
Infographic: 10 Science-Backed Ways to Be Happier Right Now
Regardless of who we are, where we’re from, where we’re going, or how much sugar we put in our coffee – we’re all after the same thing… happiness. The more, the better, right? One of the most searched for things online is, “How to be happy.”
Before we get to the bright, beautiful infographic, I just want to say a few quick things about happiness.
- One of the surest ways to be unhappy is to focus all of your thoughts on, “I wish I were happier..” By saying the words, you’re pretty much telling every fiber of your being that you are unhappy or are not “happy enough.” Not healthy.
- A sure fire way to find unhappiness is to look for it. If you tend to look for the negatives in life, you will find them – and then won’t have any idea what to do with them! Look for the good, seek out the beautiful, and trend toward things that make you smile.
- Never set yourself up for disappointment by over-expecting. This is where many people snag their sweater on the fence. Don’t wake up on Tuesday morning, for example thinking, “Each of my children are going to call me today, my spouse is going to take me to my favorite restaurant for dinner, and my cat is going to be in the cuddliest mood of her life.” When you set your expectations too high (and a cat in an uber cuddly mood is sky high), you’re only inviting disappointment and disappointment never feels good.
- Take a good look around. Even if you’re the only one in the house, there are dishes in the sink, and the cat’s in a horrifyingly bad mood – life is still beautiful. You’re still alive, there are still a billion reasons to smile and… let’s face it, a clingy cat would just be weird.

Infographic: What Kind of Clutterer are You?
Clutter isn’t any fun – is that an understatement or what? At it’s worst, clutter is stressful and even unhealthy (physically, mentally, and emotionally). Fortunately learning how to get rid of clutter and finding ways to reduce clutter (while organizing your home) is both possible and easy. You simply have to make up your mind that you’re going to break free from the rut!
- If you have to buy more shelves or organizers, buy them – it’s an investment you won’t regret.
- Haul off anything you don’t LOVE and USE. Someone will!
- Tackle one room and/or project at a time. Trying to do an entire house is far too overwhelming – take it a room at a time and, if need be, one part of each room at a time. Maybe the closet on Monday, dresser on Tuesday, etc. Even if you devote just one hour each day to a particular project, you’ll make a lot of progress.
- Take it easy on yourself! Seriously. Life, work, daily chores, and family require the majority of our time and effort. Things build up, things back up. It’s all part of life and it’s something we all deal with. Don’t be hard on yourself… just be hard on the clutter.
- My favorite “trick” for getting something done is to tell myself that I’m only going to work on it for 10 minutes. By the time 10 minutes passes, I’m so involved that I stick with it. Even if I don’t, at least something got done!
Goal-Setting Infographic: How to Write a 5 Year Plan
Can you imagine setting off for a new restaurant without the address? Or taking off for a vacation without first mapping your route? We’d think either one of these scenarios were borderline nuts, wouldn’t we? Yet, if we have goals and don’t write down how we intend to achieve them, are we really all that far from the proverbial nut bowl???
Whatever goals you have, start taking them more seriously. If you don’t start treating them more as GOALS and less like WISHES, you may never get where you want to go, achieve what you want to achieve, or obtain what you… oh, you get the idea.
The first step to take when it comes to goal-setting is to make a plan. Write it out. The infographic below will help lead the way.

A word about the infographics you see on Self Help Daily: I do not create these infographics. They are created by individuals who send them to me to share with my readers, in exchange for the link you will always find below the infographic.
If you send infographics to me for Self Help Daily, thanks! I love them as much as my readers do – however, please realize that I am not always able to publish them immediately. They will need to fit into the flow of what is being published on Self Help Daily (or any of my blogs, for that matter). I try to space infographics out, so each one gets the attention and potential to be shared across social media that will benefit the sender and readers.
If you send the infographic, please know that 9-1/2 times out of 10 I have received it. What’s more, I have placed it into my Self Help Daily folder and will use it as soon as I possibly can. As long as the infographic is useful to my readers, I will share it with them. Thanks, again – there are some amazingly talented people out there making these beauties! ~ Joi
