Friday’s Quote(s) of the Day

The way I see it, Friday is a day for fun quotes.  No depth, no logic….just silliness and smiles.

Mr. Yogi Berra stepping up to the Plate:

“You wouldn’t have won if we’d beaten you.”

“Half the lies they tell about me aren’t true.”

“If people don’t want to come out to the ball park, nobody’s going to stop them.”

“Baseball is ninety percent mental. The other half if physical.”

“You have to give 100 percent in the first half of the game. If that isn’t enough, in the second half, you have to give what is left.”

You can’t think and hit the ball at the same time.

Nobody goes there anymore. It’s too crowded.

“The game isn’t over until it’s over.”

Always go to other people’s funerals, otherwise they won’t come to yours.

“I made a wrong mistake.”

Yogi ordered a pizza. The waitress asked How many pieces do you want your pie cut? Yogi responded, “Four. I don’t think I could eat eight.”

“If you don’t know where you are going, you might wind up someplace else.”

“A nickel isn’t worth a dime today.”

When asked what would he do if he found $1 million, Yogi responded, “If the guy was poor, I’d give it back.”

“You can observe a lot by just watching.”

“Anyone who is popular is bound to be disliked.”

“In theory there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice there is.”

“That’s his style of hitting . If you can’t imitate him, don’t copy him.”

Referring to the bad sun conditions in left field at the stadium: “It gets late out there early.”

“This is like deja vu all over again.”

“I didn’t say the things I said.”

You gotta love Yogi Berra!  We’ll never know just how many billions of smiles he launches a year.  Maybe even millions.

Have a fun weekend…one that’s makes you smile even if it doesn’t make sense.
