I’m on my way out the door to vote in the most historical election ever.
Just think, we’re on the brink of history being made. As a history buff, I get excited when I’m living through history… and not just reading about it.
This is too amazing! We’ll either be electing into office our first black president or our first female Vice President. No matter which candidate you back, you have to admit that this is a very exciting day. I hope with all my heart that you’ll go to the polls and take part in this very historical election. Save your I Voted! sticker for crying out loud.
I’d also save the newspapers over the next few days as well.
Hopefully and prayerfully, no matter which of these distinguished politicians wins the election – our country will welcome our new leaders into office with the class and graciousness that’s befitting our beautiful nation.
Best wishes to all four candidates – they’ve faced more scrutiny and outrageous rumors than anyone should ever have to. They’ve been given black eyes, but have each kept their dignity, and I’ve been impressed. I’m halfway sure I’d have moved to Costa Rica by now. (Coffee’s always in the back of my mind, you know…)
Speaking of coffee, wear your I Voted sticker to your nearest Starbucks and you’ll get a free coffee. Today, only. There’s the rub. Don’t try to recylce the sweater your stickers on tomorrow or the next day…. My local heroes (aka Starbucks baristas) told me that was a “no go” and that they would be watching me closely.
Sigh.
