Continuing from Herbs That Boost Brainpower Part 1!

Ginkgo Biloba (The Anti-Aging Brain Herb)

To a certain extent, Ginkgo Biloba improves the symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease and senile dementia.  A study from 2002 showed that Ginkgo Biloba improved Alzheimer’s patients’ cognitive and social performance, regardless of the severity of their symptoms.

Ginkgo’s powerful antioxidant activity is believed to prevent damage to the blood vessels that serve the brain.  For maintaining the memory that you have right now, ginkgo is the best choice.  Experts agree that ginkgo is a good herb to try for boosting brainpower.

 Where to find Ginkgo Biloba:

Ginkgo Biloba is widely available - it can be found in drug stores, health stores, department stores, and even grocery stores.

Caution:  Do not use Ginkgo Biloba if you are on a blood thinning medication, because it may magnify their effects.  Also, discontinue ginkgo biloba 2 weeks before surgery and until all wounds have healed.

Tomorrow, Part 3!
