Our Mind’s are Working Day and Night

by joi on April 2, 2006

I have a complete and total fascination with the mind.   Even the lowest functioning one in the world (And, this week, I believe mine’s a frontrunner for the title) is completely complex and utterly fascinating.

On the other side of the following link is a fascinating write up of a Belgian study of the mind’s nighttime activities.  Our Brain Works Night and Day

I’ll take their word for it when they say mine’s working while I’m asleep, because for the life of me I can’t tell it’s even doing anything while I’m awake.  I think a lot of it has to do with the loss of my mother – all the grief and preparations, then having to go through all of her things.  There are several of us in the family who are felling dim-witted of late. (I’m sure my husband will let that open door go undarkened!)
