Infographic: What Type of Learner Are You?

Book links are usually affiliate links. This means I earn a small percentage when you click through and buy the book. This costs you nothing extra - it simply allows me to keep my cats in the lifestyle they're accustomed to.

We all have our own way of doing things and that includes learning. It’s really no wonder so many kids struggle in school – after all, they’re pretty much taught in a “one fits all” style. Truth be told, we all have our own personal style of learning and in order for us to be lifetime learners (a goal we should all have!), we need to identify what type of learner we are.

Personally, I’m a reading/writing learner. My husband prefers podcasts and videos when it comes to learning new material whereas I’d rather read (even if it’s a 10 lb book!) and take notes. Even when I’ve had no choice but to watch a video or listen to a podcast, I still take notes – which is what makes it a headache for me because I keep having to pause and restart!

The secret isn’t so much trying to learn new material how others expect you to as it is about learning it in the way that works for you.

Half the battle is, of course, knowing what type of learner you are. The wonderful infographic below will clear that up for you. – Joi (“Joy”)
