stop

When you mess up… even when you make a total and complete mess of everything!… acknowledge the failure as part of life and further proof that you’re human. While failures are seldom cause for a celebration, they aren’t the end of the world either. In time, what seems gigantic now will appear much smaller. Also, remind yourself of the wonderful William D. Brown quote, “Failure is an event, never a person.”

After you’ve gotten to the, “Yep, I must be human after all” point,” realize that you have a choice to make. You can either pitch a tent and make that failure your neighbor for the rest of your life or you can move your camp as far from that failure as possible.

I’m sure you don’t need me to tell you which is the healthier choice!
