Seeking Self Improvement? Use Your Superpowers!

Of course you have superpowers and you can use them to bring about any change in your life you desire. Keep reading to find out how!

All of us have at least one thing in our life that isn’t “quite as we’d like it to be.”  Truth be told, most of us have several things we’d love to change. These things usually fall into one of the following categories:

  • Relationships
  • Body Image
  • Finances
  • Living Conditions
  • Self Confidence
  • Employment

There are, of course, others – but these tend to be the most common. Have you ever said, “If only I could….” or  “I wish I could….”  in regards to a particular problem?  “I wish I could lose weight!” Or, “If only we could get along!”

Sure you have – we all fall into that trap. I call it a trap because that’s exactly what it is:  A Trap.

When we say words like “If” and “wish,” we’re limiting ourselves.  We’re reinforcing, within our minds, that it just might not be possible to get what we want. And think about this, our mind is actually our WORLD. We are our minds. Right? So if we keep telling ourselves that we might not be able to accomplish something, or worse yet, that we can’t possibly get it done, how long will it be before we accept that as the truth?

But, if we strengthen our minds and resolve by repeating positive affirmations such as, “I will lose weight! By Christmas (Or summer, or spring…), I’ll be a size smaller.” or “We’ll start getting along because I’m going to see to it! I’ve argued for the last time, I’m breaking the cycle.“, we’ll be well on our way to getting what we want.

Remember this, to reinforce is to “award more strength or power” to a particular thought or belief. If you’re going to cause a certain thought process to achieve Super Man Status, shouldn’t it be one that betters your life? Think about things you want to change in your life. Now, start telling yourself that you will change these things.

The power lies right inside of you! It’s just dormant because you’ve been reinforcing the wrong kinds of thoughts. Dormant is defined as “Lying asleep, or as if asleep, inactive; Latent but capable of being activated.” Capable of being activated – that deserves a smile!

That’s what we’re talking about, here. Activating the power, awakening your resolve, and fighting for what you want from life. It isn’t going to drop it on your doorstep, you have to go out there and get it. So slap a red cape on the back of your resolve and stick a big S on its chest. Your problems won’t know what hit them!
