One of my Favorites from Kaldi’s Coffee
I’m sure (even at the cusp of certain) that I cold live without coffee. I don’t plan to find out, mind you, but I’m sure I could find a way to muddle through mornings and afternoons without my caffeinated fuel and I suppose I could find a way to survive evenings without my favorite cup of decaf warmth and comfort. I could always drink tea and pretend, right?
Wrong. I’d never make it so I’ll just stop pretending.
Coffee is as much a part of my life as something without skin or fur could be. I began drinking coffee when I was around the age of 6. I wasn’t overtly mature for my age… far from it. Heck, I’m still not mature for my age or anyone else’s age, but we won’t get into that…. because I said so, that’s why!
My mom began giving me coffee at such a young age on the advice of my pediatrician who proved to be a genius. I have had asthma since birth and my attacks used to get really scary. When I was/am given warm coffee, it opens my air passages beautifully – faster than any medication I’ve ever had. Ironically, I had to have a cup last night because of wheezing left behind from bronchitis. Granted, most of my cups of coffee today don’t include the amount of cream and milk they did when I was a little coffeeholic… I’m not saying all of them, mind you… just most.
The infographic below details how coffee isn’t just excellent for those of us with asthma. It has more going on for it than you’d ever have suspected.
