Do it Anyway, Indeed!

May 31, 2010 by Joi 11 Comments

Book links are usually affiliate links. This means I earn a small percentage when you click through and buy the book. This costs you nothing extra - it simply allows me to keep my cats in the lifestyle they're accustomed to.

I’m not at all sure who the original author is, but the words below are brilliant. I’ve always been a huge fan of the “Do it anyway” concept – when used properly, that is!

Sometimes we come up against seemingly impossible odds.  For example, when giving to a favorite cause, don’t you sometimes wonder, “What good will this $50 actually do?”  You’d be amazed!  Give anyway.

DO IT ANYWAY
People are unreasonable, illogical and self-centered.

Love them anyway.

If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives.

Do good anyway.

If you are successful, you will win false friends and true enemies.

Succeed anyway.

The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow.

Do good anyway.

Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable.

Be honest and frank anyway.

The biggest people with the biggest ideas can be shot down by the smallest people with the smallest minds.

Think big anyway.

People favor underdogs but follow only top dogs.

Fight for the underdog anyway.

What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight.

Build anyway.

People really need help, but may attack you if you help them.

Help people anyway.

Give the world the best you’ve got and you’ll get kicked in the teeth.

Give the world the best you’ve got anyway.

Have a safe and happy Memorial Day – and an especially big THANK YOU to all of the brave men and women who have ever served our beautiful country. You don’t get nearly enough credit, respect, or gratitude. I don’t think any of us could ever thank you enough for the sacrifices you make.

Great words! Do what’s right no matter what other people think or even if you don’t get acknowledged for it. The important thing is you know what you’ve done and you’ve done good and you can sleep well at night 😀

Love this post! What a great way to motivate one’s self. It’s important to focus on what life has to offer instead of focusing on what you don’t have.

This is a beautiful post. Thank you! Its a great reminder. I especially like the “Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable.” Its a great way to motivate yourself to do your best always in order to succeed, and to not fear what other people’s responses will be but to focus on yourself.
    Thanks again!
